What Does My Preschooler Do After I Leave?
When you leave your children with us, they receive Christian education and care through trained leaders in safe, clean surroundings. Our curriculum is Bible-based, activity-centered and age-appropriate. Preschoolers learn most effectively through play and interaction!
We help preschoolers learn about God through activity teaching, which is different from freeform play. When children choose and use materials with which to play, they do so without the active involvement of an adult, parent or teacher. Play is done for the sheer joy of it, rather than for a specific goal.
In contrast, activity teaching occurs when a teacher guides play to achieve a purpose. Play can be used for developmental purposes from the earliest ages. Each Sunday school session focuses on a Bible story and a Bible theme. As your child progresses, he will learn Bible truths through activities involving books, puzzles, dramatic play, nature, music and art. Your child will actively explore Bible truths in ways that involve him wholly with meaning he can understand.
Art
Art stimulates and develops the imagination and fosters self confidence. The value of art activities for the young child lies in the process rather than the product.
 Puzzles
Age-appropriate puzzles offer a challenge to a child. They help him learn to solve problems.
Nature
Providing nature activities can open a world of excitement and wonder for a child. He begins to understand that God made all things.
Music
Songs about God, Jesus, church, self, others and the natural world help preschoolers form concepts related to Bible truths.
 Homeliving
In homeliving, children have an opportunity to act out the roles of parents and other people in the child’s world.
Blocks
Blocks promote physical and mental challenges for the child. He learns to take turns, share ideas and plan with others.
Books
Books help preschoolers form spiritual concepts about themselves and other people. They are wonderful language builders.
